We have a commitment to the long term viability of the nation's stock of affordable housing. Our founders understand the need for quality affordable housing and how shortages would impact our country and its citizens. We realize that, although needed, our services could create a financial burden on the housing community being served. We have attempted to minimize this by creating a pricing structure based on cost of service plus a modest profit. In our industry, pricing based on the market causes an undue burden on the properties and ultimately communities suffer.
In January, 1994 R.H. Zeffert & Associates, Inc. was established to provide energy audits to FmHA (now Rural Development) developments. Over the next seven years, the range of services grew to include Utility Allowance Calculations, Handicap Accessibility Surveys and Comprehensive Needs Assessments/Capital Needs Assessments. In 2000, Zeffert & Associates was established to provide compliance services to LIHTC properties. In January, 2007 the two companies merged into Zeffert & Associates, Inc. which does business as Zeffert & Associates.
