The purpose of this training is to provide guidance in maintaining the minimum set-asides at your LIHTC property and how to apply the next available unit rule. Maintaining your minimum set aside is extremely important. The set-asides must be met in order for the owner to receive their tax credits. In addition, owners must demonstrate due diligence when applying the NAUR especially at mixed income projects. You will learn how to apply and maintain compliance with the minimum set-aside and the difference in applying the rule at a 100% LIHTC property vs. mixed income projects.
