Our Senior Trainer, Ronnette Smith, will provide new and experienced housing tax credit professionals alike with the very latest information on the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) compliance principles in relation to the Iowa Finance Authority’s (IFA) Qualified Allocation Plan, post COVID-19 recertification procedures, answers to compliance questions as well as a refresher on timely fair housing scenarios.
Attendees will obtain the knowledge necessary for getting late recertifications back on track and understanding the IFA allocation process. Students will also learn the ins and outs of how to utilize the Average Income minimum set-aside along with a discussion about the Fair Housing protected classes, reasonable accommodations and modifications, and understanding Housing for Older Persons, (HOPA), an exemption against familial status. Attendees will leave this session with actionable recommendations that can be implemented at their properties in addition to their very own course manual.
