The Trainer is responsible for conducting and/or facilitating affordable housing training classes, seminars, and conferences nationwide. Ideally, the Trainer has five to seven years of training experience, is very knowledgable in multiple programs (such as LIHTC, HOME, HUD, Fair Housing and Rural Development), and must be an excellent public speaker. The Trainer contributes to content development, as well. The ability to travel up to 75% is required.
The Inspector is responsible for nationwide inspections of single and multi-family residential dwellings to determine their physical condition, necessary repairs, and conformance to applicable federal and state rules and regulations. Training will be provided, but at a minimum the Inspector will have proficient knowledge of building maintenance, design, and construction. The ability to travel up to 75% is required.
The Compliance Specialist is responsible for conducting resident file audits for compliance with various and sometimes blended affordable housing programs including LIHTC, HUD, HOME, Bond, and Rural Development. The Compliance Specialist ensures a consistent, accurate, and high quality ethic and understands the importance of even the finest of details. Training may be provided for exceptional candidates, but ideally the Compliance Specialist is extremely proficient in at least one affordable housing program.
Currently, there is part-time opportunity for any interested third or fourth year undergraduate student located in the St. Louis area and able to work from the office on scheduled days. This is a paid internship for up to 30 hours per week. The interested candidate should have exceptional microsoft office experience in their coursework and be able to confidently assemble professional presentations. Experience in affordable housing is not necessary.
